Characteristics of Hair
FINE HAIR is the most fragile texture and can be easily damaged. Fine hair tends to be more oily than any other type. People with fine hair may find it hard to hold curls because this texture is very light and falls extremely flat. Volume is often desired and may be hard to achieve. Adding a ton of chemicals will weigh this texture down.
MEDIUM HAIR is the most common hair type and covers the entire head very well. This texture is not fragile and holds styles very well. It is not prone to breakage as easily as fine hair.
THICK or COARSE HAIR is the strongest type of hair. Thick hair usually takes longer to dry and can be resistant to chemical treatments. It tolorates heat very well and can hold curls with ease.
Brazilian hair is soft, durable, and has a thick density. This texture can blend with most ethnicities from Caucasian to relaxed African-American textures. It is extremely luxurious and has lots of body with a natural shine.
Burmese hair is cross between Chinese and Indian hair. It is healthy, resilient and full bodied. It is naturally straight with a slight curl at the end. Burmese hair is well suited for people of African decent and those that like naturally straight hair.
Indian hair is more silky than Brazilian hair and has a lesser density. It is the most versitle on the market and is naturally airy, light and bouncy. It blends very well with most textures and moves effortlessly with minimal products. This texture can range from silky to lightly coarse.
Filipino hair is simply flawless. It is extremely soft, sleek, and has a natural sheen. It is known for its strength, versatility, body, fullness, thickness, and long lasting nature. This hair waves slightly when wet and has a healthy shine. This hair is thick and slightly coarse.
Malaysian hair has an extremely soft luxurious feel and is sleek and shiny. Its luster is low to medium and is similar to Brazilian. This hair holds curls extremely well without products. It blends very well with relaxed African-American hair.
